'Nightmare' Is Stryker's #1 Requested Song On KROQ
'Nightmare' is now Stryker's #1 Requested Song on KROQ. This isn't the first time that 'Nightmare' held the #1 spot. On July 26th and on June 21st it also held the #1 spot!
Taking over Switchfoot‘s “The Sound,” the new #1 Requested Song belongs to “Nightmare” from Avenged Sevenfold. This isn’t the first time that they’ve held this honor either, so keep calling and requesting and let’s see if you guys can make this happen 2 weeks in a row!
German fans, only three more days til the official release of "Nightmare" in your country! If you cannot wait those three more days anymore, you can now pre-listen the entire album right here!
The pre-listen is brought to you by Roadrunner Records Deutschland. Every song is sponsored by a different organisation.
Mike Portnoy posted the following message on his Facebook page, which he wrote in reply to someone saying the band would never be the same without The Rev.
I just posted this on the A7X FB page in response to somebody who said the band "will never be the same without The Rev", and I suppose it's worth posting here as well:
It indeed will never be the same...but these are the tragic cards the band were dealt...and rather than end it all, they are making lemonade out of the lemons...carrying on the best they can to keep the band (and The Rev's spirit) alive for THE FANS....I'm glad I can help them with that process...I am not trying to replace The Rev...I am merely trying to help them carry on....I believe the band has the ability to still achieve GREAT things and I am personally glad to see them carrying on (with all due respect to Jimmy)...Imagine if AC/DC stopped after Bon died and they never made Back In Black....or Metallica stopped after Cliff died and they never got to do everything they've done since 1986....
Both Brian Haner Sr and Mike Portnoy posted an update about Synyster Gates throwing the first pitch at the Columbus Clippers VS Toledo Mud Hens (baseball) game yesterday.
Wattching Toledo play Columbus. Triple A teams. Syn thtew out the first pitch!
These guys have been repping Avenged Sevenfold and their album 'Nightmare' like crazy. That, plus the fact that I love them, is reason enough for me to post this here:
This one goes out to all my fellow dutchies out there:
De videoclip voor 'Nightmare' is zojuist officieel gereleased in Nederland! Ondanks dat je hem allang kent, je kunt hem hier bekijken op de TMF website!
Kortom: doe je best en vraag hem aan bij de programma's zodat we lekker veel airplay krijgen!!

Two great sets of photos of Avenged Sevenfold during their stop in Chicago, IL last Saturday. The first set is by Jessica Emmerich for The Dead Hub, the second one is by yOyO Suicide, which you can check out here!
Here's another set of photos of Avenged Sevenfold at KROCKATHON in Syracuse, NY last July 31st. The photos were taken by Brian Defrees for Musician Photo Journal.
I would like to take a moment and let everyone know that topics such as "Solid proof that The Rev commited suicide" are NOT allowed on our forum. If you want to go and create drama, that's fine, but take it elsewhere. We do NOT support these topics.
The fact that Jimmy died is very, very sad - to say the least - but none of you out there have the right to claim that he commited suicide. His family is very disappointed in fans claiming that he did, because Jimmy was full of life. I will repeat this quote of Jimmy's mother, Barbara Sullivan, once more:
"I would like to take a moment to talk about the song 'Fiction.' It has saddened me to see so many questions and comments from the fans wondering if this might be a suicide note from Jimmy, and realizing they are missing the point. Remember that this was originally a 'concept' album about worst nightmares. This song, that Jimmy originally titled 'Death,' contains the hopeful thoughts of a person dying, but the effect on the listener was Jimmy's worst nightmare ... loved ones left behind suffering. It is really ironic that the guys had to record it and we have to hear it after losing Jimmy. He loved life, and was really looking forward to recording and touring again with his best friends."

There has been made some changes regarding the Rockstar Uproar shows in Columbus, OH on August 24. Because so many people are attending the show, the main stage acts had to be moved from the LC Pavillion to the Nationwide Arena:
COLUMBUS FANS! Due to ticket demand, this show previously scheduled at the LC Pavilion Outdoor Amphitheater has been moved to Nationwide Arena. All previously purchased tickets will be honored. The festival area at The LC Pavilion will open at 3:00pm with Jδgermeister Second Stage performances by Airbourne, Hail the Villain, New Medicine, Jackie and XFactor1 starting at 3:15pm.
