Avenged Sevenfold On The Cover Of Tomorrow's Kerrang! Magazine
Avenged Sevenfold is on the cover of tomorrow's Kerrang! magazine. The magazine also includes a cover story with the band.

Avenged Sevenfold - Inside their brave new world!
With this week's release of Nightmare - their first album since death of Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan in December - Avenged Sevenfold are slowly getting back into band business. But are the four friends ready to be "under the microscope" so soon?
Thanks to my sis Kat! Meow meow!

The Daily Iowan Gives "Nightmare" A 3.5 Out Of 5
The Daily Iowan has reviewed "Nightmare" and gives it a 3.5 out of 5. The review starts of with: "Avenged Sevenfold is the modern day Guns 'N' Roses." That's a pretty big compliment, if you ask me. Read the full thing here or the final verdict below:
At this point in Avenged Sevenfold's career, the band shows it has musical talent and songwriting ability beyond many of the radio-rock bands of today, even though it still falls into some of the same formulaic traps of past albums.
Nightmare is a better album than the group's previous effort, and while it may not satisfy early fans' "appetite" for the heavier sounds on City of Evil, it is the band's best work since that album.
411 Mania Gives "Nightmare" A 9.0
411 Mania wrote an extremely long, but good review for "Nightmare". If you want to read it in detail, head over to this page and enjoy! Below is their final verdict:
If you’re a fan of Avenged Sevenfold, Nightmare is a must-have for you, and immediately! If you didn’t like this band before, this one MAY change your mind, but you’ve gotta’ come into the listening experience with an open opinion about A7X. As a fan of this band, I loved this album and feel it is their best work to date. If Avenged Sevenfold can continue to heal and find a permanent drummer sometime down the line – Mike Portnoy is a great choice if that stars can align for that to happen – I see them becoming one of the elite hard rock/metal (what’s in a label anyways?) acts of this era. This album is incredibly moving and is better than any tribute to the late Rev I could have possibly imagined. I gave this album a very high rating because of how moved I was by its content, songwriting, and just the truly amazing performances of everyone in the band. I will hold this album dear to my heart for a long time and think many other fans will as well.
Final Score: 9.0

My Review: Revolver Magazine - Avenged Sevenfold Special Collector's Issue
I was one of the lucky people who got to have a copy of Revolver Magazine's Avenged Sevenfold Special Collector's Issue before its release. First of all, I would like to thank editor in chief Brandon Geist for sending out the magazine across the pond!
Like many of you, I was very excited to see the magazine and to read the articles. First off, I started flipping through the magazine and ended up laughing at some of the never-before-seen photos. A much younger Avenged Sevenfold, baby photos and family photos of Jimmy, outtakes of photo shoots and so on. I was blown away by the amazing new photos of the band and the band members. We have already seen a few, but they were nothing compared to these.
Of course, after that I started reading the magazine. It's divided in ten chapters, all telling different stories. It starts of with the the band telling you how they started. Avenged Sevenfold from day one. We all know the story, but this is the band speaking. It's not some random interview. It's them telling their story, to you. In chapter two, the band tells you about how they became bigger and better. They tell you about their struggles and what they did to get where they are today. Chapter three is the chapter that really made me shed some tears. The guys tell you about Jimmy's last days, the days after he passed, memories... It was hard to read, yet good to read. As silly as it may sound, being a fan, it made me feel closer to the band. It made me understand them more. Chapter four is Revolver Magazine talking to Jimmy's parents Barbara & Joe. They share with you a lot of old photos and memories of their son, things that will definately make you laugh and love him even more.
These four chapters alone make it worth your money to buy this magazine. These four chapters are like a little book, Avenged Sevenfold: From then till now. They are a collector's item, a must-have for every fan.
The other six chapters include an interview with The Rev, guitarists Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance answering your questions, Avenged Sevenfold breaking boundaries with their fourth album and more!
Last but certainly not least, through out the magazine you will find seven codes that you can scan with your mobile phone. Each of these codes leads you to exclusive Avenged Sevenfold content that is not available without the codes of the magazine.

So, to cut a long story short: from a fan to a fan, you want to get this magazine. Because if you don't, you're simply missing out on something great. This magazine does what a good movie should do, make you laugh and make you cry. I want to give major props to Revolver Magazine, because they put out a great gift for us Avenged Sevenfold fans.
Get your copy at a local news stand or get it at the Online Store of Revolver Magazine!
Metal News gives Nightmare a 8.7 out of 10!
Metal News reviews Nightmare, and gives a 8.7 out of 10!
Read the full interview here or look at the conclusion below.
Should you buy it? YES! Without a doubt you should. This album is incredible and has a variety of different tastes to suit most music lovers let alone Avenged Sevenfold fans! Highlight of the album is definitely “Fiction” as it being the last song which Jimmy wrote and last song for him to be a part on in body. Low point is Danger Line I’m not too sure what the band wanted to achieve with it its not terrible just a bit misplaced! However the album is certainly worth buying so go and buy it!
Circle Six Gives "Nightmare" Rave Reviews
Circle Six gives "Nightmare" rave reviews. Read it here or read their final verdict below:
For better or worse, Nightmare can only be judged in light of the tragic events that preceded it. Because of that, it’s hard to critique an album where the listener transcends the musical experience to become a voyeuristic observer of the bands grief and recovery process. But while uncomfortable at times, it is ultimately hopeful, and needs to be recognized as not only an important addition to the A7X discography but also a powerful statement about losing the ones we love and living in the aftermath.
Universal Rock Calls "Nightmare" Avenged Sevenfold's Best Album Yet
Universal Rock called "Nightmare" Avenged Sevenfold's best album yet. Read their entire review here or just their final verdict below:
Every Avenged Sevenfold fan (fans of their early metalcore sound, City of Evil listeners, and those who were introduced to the band by hearing their amazing self-titled effort) will find something on this album that they can appreciate, but it’s the grief that is portrayed throughout this album, its lyrics, M. Shadows’s heartfelt vocals, and the pain that can be heard within the performances that makes Nightmare Avenged Sevenfold’s best album yet. There are songs on this album about losing someone close to you (“So Far Away”) and the anger that comes with that experience (“God Hates Us”), but sometimes we need to hear something like that. It sure is easier to listen to music that you can relate to than it is to listen to something happy when you’re in the middle of the same experiences that M. Shadows is singing about on this record. And it’s this that Avenged Sevenfold understands, and for creating not only the perfect tribute to one of the best drummers of the new millennium but also an album that can effectively put across those dark emotions, and for being able to make the listener feel them too, Avenged Sevenfold should be commended.
Do It! (Let's Get "Nightmare" To #1!!)
I have already asked you before, but I am going to do it again...
Tomorrow Avenged Sevenfold will officially release their fifth studio album "Nightmare". It's been said that the album has a VERY good chance at heading to #1 on the Billboard 200, so I am asking you, no, I am begging you: please get yourself a legal copy of the new album! Whether you get it at your local record shop or download it of off iTunes, whichever you prefer, just make sure it's legal.
Be part of something big. How cool would it be if this album, Avenged Sevenfold's darkest journey, this nightmare, would kick an artist like Eminem of the #1 spot? Don't get me wrong, I love Eminem, but if WE could make that happen for Avenged Sevenfold, just imagine how BIG that is...
To quote Zacky Vengeance: "Do it."
"Nightmare" Already Available On iTunes Belgium!
Our reader M.G. just sent me a screencap of her Belgium iTunes Store, showing me that "Nightmare" is already officially for sale on there! So, if you're in Belgium, head over to your iTunes Store and get yourself that brand new Avenged Sevenfold album!!

High Quality Shot From Heavy MTL Festival + Small Review
I ran into this french review on the Heavy MTL festival. If you speak french, go and read it here. If anyone could translate to English (the A7X part) that would be great!
The youngest people in the audience appreciated Avenged Sevenfold's comeback in Montreal for the first time since the untimely death of their drummer, The Rev. More melodic than Lamb Of God, they have slightly increased the tempo. The new songs like "Nightmare" and "Welcome To The Family" and the titles expected such as "Beast And The Harlot" and "Almost Easy" were very hardcore."
Included in the article, this massive photo of the band:

Thanks to Jill W. and Carmina for their translations! I have used both of yours, as you can see! :)
Avenged Sevenfold Has 'Best Chance So Far' For Top Spot Billboard 200!
Tomorrow is the day! Avenged Sevenfold will release their long awaited fifth studio album, "Nightmare". Also releasing new album tomorrow are Tom Jones, Kimberly Caldwell, Fat Joe & Sky Sailing.
However, it looks like Avenged Sevenfold has the best chance at beating all of the above and going straight to #1 at the Billboard 200:
We’re emerging out of the summer doldrums this week, although we’re still a bit sleepy. However, Avenged Sevenfold is sure to wake everyone up based on sheer volume alone. Plus, they are the first contender with an outside chance of knocking Eminem off the top of the Billboard 200. We don’t know what took her so long, but season two “American Idol” contestant, Kimberly Caldwell finally releases her debut album, plus Tom Jones takes us to church and Owl City shows off his early, acoustic work under the name Sky Sailing.
Avenged Sevenfold, “Nightmare” (Warner Bros.): Metalheads return with their fifth studio album--their first since the death of drummer James Sullivan, produced by Mike Elizondo. The title track is already a hit at active rock radio. Will the Uproar tour headliners be the ones to knock Eminem out of the top spot on the Billboard 200? They have the best chance so far.
