The "Avenged Sevenfold" account on Vimeo has been confirmed to be fake, as well as the information provided on the account. The tracklist, the preview - it's all fake.

The only thing confirmed so far is the release for their first single "Nightmare" on May 18th. There is no official date released for their album release, despite July rumors.

Check out this fan video of Mike Portnoy in Poland yesterday. At about 1:35 minutes Mike is asked about the new Avenged Sevenfold album. According to Mike it will be out in July, as rumored before. He also mentions that he doesn't know if Europe is on schedule at the moment, but if it is, he will be there with them.

As you may or may not have heard, today, May 7th, is the big day for Brian 'Synyster Gates' Haner and his Michelle! They will tie the knot later today in Mexico.



I hereby want to wish them a wonderful day, with their close friends and family, and wish them all the best in the future as husband and wife! Congrats, you two!

Avenged Sevenfold has confirmed that Mike Portnoy will be drumming for them during the Rockstar Uproar Tour:

After being so kind and caring to help us in the studio, the rumors are in fact true and Mike Portnoy will indeed be helping us on the upcoming UPROAR tour later this year. We hope to see you all out on the road. We are very grateful to Mike for dedicating his time and talent to help us get back on the road so we can be where we need to be the most which is with our fans. Much Love and Respect

After having had such an amazing experience recording my drum tracks for the new Avenged Sevenfold album, we all knew it would be awesome if I'd be able to do some touring with the band after its release...

I am happy to say that the timing worked out perfectly that my touring cycle with Dream Theater (and Transatlantic) was coming to an end just as A7X's was scheduled begin!
(well, perfect for everyone except my poor family!) : )

Although I wish I could stay on board with A7X in a more permanent capacity, the reality is that I am commited to Dream Theater as my main priority (that is my baby afterall!), and I will need to resume work with DT to start a new album at some point in 2011....

However, I will be able to join my brothers in Avenged Sevenfold for at least the duration of their touring throughout 2010...and hopefully this will give them the time to continue to heal and get comfortable back on the road....

You can look at me like the band's "rebound drummer" to buy them some time until they are comfortable and ready to make a commitment to somebody new for full-time relationship in their future!

In the meantime, I am real excited to hit the road with the boys...to bring my drumming from their new album to life on stage and to honor The Rev with all of their older material....

(Hey, do I get to have a cool, bad-ass stage name now???) : )

Mike Portnoy To Drum For A7X, Album Out In July And New Single Called "Nightmare"

According to Hard Drive Radio, Mike Portnoy will be the drummer for Avenged Sevenfold during the Rockstar Uproar tour later this year. Also, they say the album is due July 27th and the first single is entitled "Nightmare".

And speaking of Uproar, I am hearing Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater will be the touring drummer with Avenged Sevenfold. Mike plays on the new to-be-titled Avenged Sevenfold album, due July 27. The first single, which I heard in LA, is called "Nightmare" and it is smoking hot!

Rockstar Uproar Festival: Details, details, details!

The tour line up includes: Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Stone Sour and Halestorm on the main stage. Also, on the Jägermeister Second Stage, Hellyeah, Airbourne, Hail The Villain, New Medicine and the winner of Battle Of The Bands in each city.

Tickets will go on sale Saturday, June 12th, 2010.

“After recently finishing up our new record we were not sure if we were going to continue touring. We got a call from our friends at UPROAR and decided this would be the best way to introduce our fans to the new album. We are excited to share the new music with you and our friends on tour.”

The festival will feature a full afternoon and night of activities, besides the performances, such as daily wrestling tournaments.

Starting May 10th, their will be a weekly episode of UPROAR TV with exclusive behind the scenes footage and surprises from the bands on the tour. The videos can be found on the official website. These episodes will be updated every Tuesday, throughout the end of the tour.

According to the Rockstar Uproar website, Avenged Sevenfold will join Disturbed and Stone Sour on the main stage on the upcoming Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Fest :

Platinum headliners Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold, along with Stone Sour and Halestorm will be shredding on the UPROAR main stage. The potent rock lineup for the touring music and lifestyle jaunt also features performances from Jägermeister Second Stage headliners Hellyeah, as well as Airbourne, Hail The Villain, New Medicine and the Jägermeister Battle of The Bands Winner in each city. The 36-date tour launches August 17 in Minneapolis, MN and will visit arenas and amphitheatres across North America before wrapping October 4 in Madison, WI.

The national on sale for the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival is Saturday, June 12, and tickets will be available via RockstarUproar.com and LiveNation.com. A special pre-sale will commence Tuesday, June 8. Ticket prices range from $10 to $69.
