Attention New England Mayhem fans!! Avenged Sevenfold will be playing a special performance at the July 27th Mayhem stop in Mansfield, MA at the Comcast Center. This is the only stop the band will be playing on Mayhem this summer so get your tickets while you can HERE!

On Thursday night Jimmy the Rev was voted Best Drummer at the Revolver Golden God Awards. It is an extremely bitter sweet honor. We know all of our fans and friends have always and will foREVer hold him in this regard and for that we thank you. The ceremony is to air on May 22nd on VH1 Classic.

The Rev wins Best Drummer at Golden Gods Awards

Jimmy The Rev Sullivan was the winner of the Best Drummer award at the Golden God Awards that took place earlier in Los Angeles, California.





The awards air on Saturday, May 22nd on VH1 Classic.

Bullet's Matt pays tribute to The Rev on Rock Radio

Bullet for My Valentine frontman Matt Tuck has paid tribute to Avenged Sevenfold drummer Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan, who died aged 28 last Christmas.

In his Rock Radio takeover show, broadcast tonight, Tuck plays the A7X track Almost Easy and shouts out to the memory of The Rev, and to the fans who keep his memory alive.

Tuck says: "Avenged Sevenfold are our boys. The Rev's death is extremely sad so this song is in dedication to him and all the Avenged Sevenfold fans out there.

"He'll be sadly missed by everyone, including me and the boys in Bullet, who are very friendly with those guys."

Matt Tuck's Bullet Takeover Show is broadcast on Rock Radio from 10pm BST tonight, featuring tracks from AC/DC, Alice in Chains, Deftones, Faith No More, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Lamb of God, Pantera and more. In between times the singer explains why the songs mean so much to him.

Avenged Sevenfold have just confirmed they will perform at Heavy MTL in Montreal, Quebec at Parterre Parc Jean Drapeau on July 25, 2010. Also performing Heavy MTL are Korn, Rob Zombie, Slayer, Megadeth and more. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets!


So far, this is all that is confirmed. Who will serve as their drummer is still unknown.

Altsounds.com Reviews Slash' Solo Album: M Shadows Came For Metal And Delivered

Altsounds.com reviewed Slash' upcoming solo debut album, entitled "Slash". Although the writer of this review says he expected more of the entire album, he said some very nice things about "Nothing To Say" and M Shadows.

‘Nothing to Say’ featuring M Shadows has the best music by far and I can only put that down to the Avenged Sevenfold influence. There was no way Shadows was planning on singing some naff acoustic junk – he came for metal and that is what he delivered. Head and shoulders above the rest, reflecting the kind of album this ‘could’ have been if Slash had chosen vocalists of a similar ilk. Don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of Slash, but for that reason alone I had huge expectations of this being an iconic CD for years to come.

I finally got around to scan the new Metal Hammer magazine with Slash and our very own M Shadows on the cover!

Avenged Sevenfold to play Rockstar Uproar 2010 Tour?

Earlier this month, I posted something about Avenged Sevenfold possibly playing a show in Canada, alongside of Disturbed and Stone Sour. A few more websites are now saying that Avenged Sevenfold will play on the entire tour, called Rockstar Uproar sponsored by Rockstar Energy Drink.

Last month, Vinnie Paul said he wanted our Jimmy to win 'Best Drummer' at the Golden Gods awards this year. This month, he said the following to Revolver magazine to remember him:

“His music was very challenging and dangerous, but the Rev was always just a down-to-earth guy that was very humble, with no ego. He always treated me with the ultimate respect and I always enjoyed his presence. He was great.”
